Performance Evaluation of Lead-free Perovskite Solar Cell with Different Hole/Electron Transport Materials

The emerging perovskites are the potential material for solar cell application. However, the widely used lead perovskite is toxic in nature and needs to be replaced with non-toxic, efficient tin-perovskite. In this work, a tin-Perovskite solar cell structure is simulated using AFORSHET v2.5 1-D simulator. The numerical simulation and analysis are carried out for structure hole transport material /MASnI3/ electron transport material. Different hole and electron transport materials reported with perovskites are studied to analyze the performance of Tin-perovskite solar cell. The simulated structure shows a maximum achievable efficiency of 19% with VOC 0.94 V. However; these results can help to select a suitable HTM/ETM for Tin-Perovskite and further can help to study the effect of different materials on the solar cell performance.
