Concepts for the Measurements Subsystems of the Third Generation Attributes Measurement System

The 3rd Generation Attribute Measurement System project has been tasked by the U.S.National Nuclear Security Administration Office of Nuclear Verification to develop thenext generation of attribute measurement system for potential verification applications.The primary improvements of this effort, compared to previous attribute measurementsystems, are to address authentication and certification concerns throughout the designand development process and to conduct attribute measurements for highly enricheduranium and high explosives in addition to plutonium. This paper will present attributemeasurement techniques under consideration by the project.
