A full year BIPV case study on power performance research of four different PV modules

The BIPV (Building integrated Photovoltaic system) case study has been analyzed the powerperformance on the four different types of PV module for the net zero energy research project in Hsinchu,Taiwan. This study used pvsys software to simulate the four different types of PV module and combinedthe real power performance on the different building surfaces. The total PV system capacities of the fourdifferent types of PV module were 8.04kWp, which had been installed on the roof, wall, windows andshading system. This paper used the DMY (Daily Mean Yields) and PR(Performance Ratio) to analysis thePV systems performance during full year research in June 2011. The DMY values at the roof, wall, windowsand sun awning were 2.70, 0.92, 1.27, 1.86 (kWh/kWp/day) respectively. The System Performance Ratio atroof, wall, windows and sun awning were81.69%, 66.46%, 72.55%, 56.72% respectively. The total averageerror between the simulation by PVsys and the monitored of the PV power performance is around 0.76% to11.16%.
