摘要

The project ‘GNUT-Biogas’ (2010 - 2013) will provide urgently needed knowledge required to makethe energetic potential of permanent grassland accessible and consequently contribute to the preservation ofpermanent grassland areas. Seven productive permanent grassland types are evaluated. They are examined under fourdifferent management variants which can be described as production of:1. high quality fodder for dairy cattle2. high quality fodder for dairy cattle with reduced level of nitrogen fertilisation3. biomass tapping the local resources4. biomass with focus on plant population preservationBiomass yields and biomass quality are systematically determined and biogas and methane yields will be measured inbatch tests from ensiled biomass. The variants 1 and 4 are the ones with the highest DM yields (7.2 - 14.9 Mg ha-1),the variants 1 and 2 with the best quality for biogas production. The project is still going on, so further results are tobe expected.
