摘要

An Equivalent Thermal Resistance, ETR, is introduced in this paper to predict LED (light emitting diode) pad temperature while same thermal management is applying. A simplified experiment is conducted to find the behavior of ETR as different heat sink size is applied. Analytical solution, a power function, shows great match with the experiment data. Both 1-D & 2-D models (heat sink length & width) are introduced in this paper. A 37inch LCD (liquid crystal display) module with single vertical edge-lit LED BLU (backlight unit) is used for examination.
