摘要

Conventional contact type rubbing process has some problems which are particle, rubbing mura and contrast ratio drop. We studied that photo-alignment by photo activity poiyimide with polarized UV using 4.46qHD. Through these experiments, we have found that photo-alignment has a lower pretilt angle, lower azimuth angle and higher rubbing density than rubbing process. These results bring to contrast ratio up the result than traditional rubbing method.
