摘要

The atmospheric plasma generated by electrohydrodynamic(EHD) plasma actuator could directly convert electric energy into kinetic energy and accelerate the layer flow. Therefore, it enjoys a promising future in the field of flow control and has attracted much attention from both academic circles and engineering. As any significant amount of vertical momentum would lift the flow off the surface and generate turbulence and vortices, a special plasma actuator test stand is designed and the vertical thrust induced by plasma actuator is measured precisely on it. Besides, direct measurement of vertical velocity of induced flow is also carried out on the test stand. All the experiment results show that there is airflow in vertical direction of EHD plasma actuator, and vertical thrust induced by it could be negligible.
