摘要

The presented work deals with an electrodeless mercury free discharge lamp driven by microwaves at the frequency of f = 2.45 GHz. The discharge is launched inside the cavity of a surfatron. The lamps are based on indium iodide fillings. The influence of additional added Iodine as buffer material on the discharges maintenance power is shown with the help of thermal imaging measurements.
