The paper proposes the method and software which allows user to carry out multidimensional inversion of magnetotelluric sounding data. The computational schemes of direct problems are based on the finite element method (FEM) with the use of meshes with rectangular regular grids using nodal and vector finite elements. Mathematical model of the inverse problem is based on the idea of the Gauss-Newton minimization. In the proposed approach, the derivatives with respect to parameters are calculated analytically. The paper shows the results of numerical experiments of 2D inversion for synthetic models.
