摘要

A new Lys-based monomer, its AA-PEA polymers and hydrogels have been successfully designed, synthesized, and characterized. The biodegradation study demonstrates that the Lys-PEA can be biodegraded in presence of trypsin. The pendant free amine groups in the Lys segment permit the attachment of biological active agents and dyes for a variety of biomedical applications. Upon biodegradation of Lys-PEAs hydrogels, microspheres and nanoparticles were formed.
