Increased mold temperature resulted in increased compressive modulus and yield strength up to 370-385°C (Fig. 1), which was concluded to be the optimum mold temperature range for maximizing the mechanical properties while minimizing the risk of thermal damage to the polymer. For this temperature range, the compressive mechanial properties were within the range of values reported for human vertebral trabecular bone.
