Surface modification of electrospun fibrous scaffold via polysaccharide-protein assembly multilayer for neuron growth
In this study, the polysaccharide-protein assembly multilayer were employed to modify the surface of polyester fibers. It could serve as a new strategy to fabricate biomimetic scaffold for tissue engineering. If needed, various bioactive agents, such as DNA, ECM proteins and growth factors, could also be incorporated into the polyelectrolyte layers during LBL self-assembly.
