Preparation of hyaluronic acid based in situ hydrogel for protein delivery to the eye

We have sucessfully made in situ hydrogel composed of modified hyaluronic acid. The degree of midification of the polymer and the swelling ratio, gelation time of the gel can be controlled. The hydrogel can act as a prolonged release depot of a model protein BSA for at least 2 months.
