PSBMA was successfully electrospun into fibrous scaffolds through ES. High water absorption of PSBMA scaffold, due to zwitterionic pendant groups promotes formation of a hydration layer around electrospun fibers leading to its lowfouling properties as indicated by low adsorption of Fg. and BAEC attachment and proliferation as well as low bacterial adhesion making PSBMA electrospun scaffold an ideal candidate for applications such as bacteria-resistant wound dressings.
