摘要

The effects of material properies, manner of loading, geometric shape, residual stress and general stress ratio of welded joint on the fatigue life curve are considered respectively. By means of Peterson's equation and the worst-case fatigue notch factor, a predicting equation of effective stress concentration factor under general stress ratio is adopted. A estimating method for the fatigue life curve under general stress ratio is developed. As an example of application of the method, the fatigue life curves of several type of welded joints made of low-alloy structural steel are predicted. Good agreement between the estimations and experiments is achieved. This method has significance for engineering applications.
