摘要

This paper presents the first-known investigation on the problem of free vibration of symmetric cross-by laminated plates having elastically restrained edges. The first-order plate theory is used to account for the effects of transverse shear deformation and rotary inertia in the plates and the Rayleigh-Ritz method is employed for the vibration analysis. The elastic edge flexibilities are addressed by considering both the linear elastic rotational and translational supports to act simultaneously.
