The lower stress resistant strawberry variety "Jixin" was used as experimental materials,and the effect of exogenous proline on salt tolerance of strawberry seedlings was studied through adding different concentrations of proline under NaCl stress.The results showed that the exogenous proline could obviously decrease the plasmalemma permeability and malondialdehyde (MDA) content of strawberry leaves,and that of concentration (30 to 40 μmol/L) decreased more.The exogenous proline could also obviously increase the superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and net photosynthetic rate of strawberry leaves,and the SOD activity of strawberry leaves in proline treatment of 30 μtmol/L was obviously higher than that in the control,and the net photosynthetic rate of strawberry leaves in proline treatment of 30 to 40 μmol/L was recovered to the control level.It indicated that the appropriate concentration (30 to 40 μmol/L) of exogenous proline could obviously improve the physiological traits of strawberry seedlings under salt stress and had a better mitigation to salt stress.
