@@With developing of the industry on electrons and electrical engineering the needs of flame retardant nylon 6 are growing rapidly. In recent years, metal phosphinates to flame retardant nylon 6 is rapidly developing, and have achieved good results. Metal compounds can act as a promoter of carbonization through catalyzing char formation. Gallo E. reported that when metal oxides nanoparticles are added to PBT, the amount of carbonaceous char increases. So, this work focuses on studying fire retardant synergisms between zinc oxide (ZnO) and metal phosphinates (APBu) in GFPA6. In order to further research the synergistic effect between zinc oxide and APBu, then using different particle size of zinc oxide to blends with APBu were studied. Thermal degradation and flame retardance of the composites were studied in this paper.
