By using organic dyes to dope the phosphor layers of conventional powder electroluminescent (EL) devices, high luminosity and uniform luminescence can be realized. In a hybrid EL device, the excitation energy of the inorganic phosphor is transferred to the organic dyes. The introduction of the organic dye results in increased luminosity and uniform brightness. The effect of the introduction of organic dyes is clarified in this study.
