Coastal erosion in Uruguay

摘要

In this paper a comprehensive and integrated methodological approach to understand the complex physical processes involved in the cliff recession and beach erosion was presented. This methodology was developed in two case studies from the Uruguayan coastline. The diagnostic of the studied cases was developed based on the results of the studies. Cliff recession is strongly related to beach erosion. Beach erosion is consistent with the results of long term and medium term stability analysis.
