Session C7: Revetments

摘要

The Wave Overtopping Simulator is a device which is able to simulate overtopping waves over flood defence structures. It was designed in first instance to test the strength of landward slopes of dikes in the Netherlands. But the possibilities of such a device are wider than only this research. The Wave Overtopping Simulator can not simulate waves or the effect of waves, like wave breaking, but it can simulate overtopping waves on various structures. The future in use of the Simulator depends on ideas, clients and available budgets.
