In summary, the Isles of Scilly Link proposals are unique due to the remote locations of both harbours and the sensitive communities that surround the works. The project team have had to learn lessons about the best ways of working with these communities and by listening to concerns of the locals, the two schemes have been able to develop in such a way as to minimise the adverse effects on the communities and gain support from key local groups.
