Galvanising is a technique that protects concrete from corrosion. It should be used with care as significant defects (eg. associated with important scratch during fabrication The best protection to steel is however good quality concrete! Hence a technical and cost efficient solution is generally better achieved using good quality concrete (with low porosity and permeability to chloride). Finally, the use of stainless or galvanised steel should not only be looked at with reference to corrosion, but also with regards to modified adherence to concrete.
