CHINA'S FISSILE MATERIAL PRODUCTION AND ITS POLICY IMPLICATIONS

摘要

Based on newly available Chinese public sources, this paper reconstructs the history of China's production of highly enriched uranium (HEU) and plutonium for nuclear weapons. The paper then discusses the policy implications of the history of China's fissile material production and examines its impact on China's attitude toward multilateral nuclear disarmament and FMCT negotiations.
