摘要

Recently, the reduction of electromagnetic vibration and noise from three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors (IMs) has become a very important subject from the standpoint of environmental improvement. Although electromagnetic vibration of IMs has been studied for several years, the relationship between radial distribution of the electromagnetic vibration and noise, and the force wave, the cause of the vibration and noise, has yet to be analyzed in sufficient detail. In the present paper, this relationship is investigated experimentally for a small IM at the no-load condition. It is clearly shown the relationship the radial distribution of dominant electromagnetic vibration, noise components, and electromagnetic force wave occasioned the vibration and noise.
