Monte Carlo and Deterministic pulsed neutron analyses were performed for the YALINA Thermal subcritical assembly. This study focuses on the comparison between MCNPX and PARTISN results for calculating the time dependent ~3He(n,p) reaction rate set by a deuterium-deuterium (D-D) pulse with a duration of few microseconds. The ~3He(n,p) reaction rate has been computed in different experimental channels of the assembly. At present, the PARTISN code cannot model delayed neutrons, therefore the comparison is limited to few milliseconds so that only the contribution from prompt neutrons is taken into account. The PARTISN code has been modified to suppress the writing of the restart file at each time step. The PARTISN deterministic model of the subcritical assembly has been performed with 69 energy groups, S_(16) angular quadrature set, linear anisotropic scattering, and 60 homogenized material zones.
