摘要

We collect data trace from taxis with GPS devices installed to study some important metrics of vehicle mobile networks. Such study may contribute to the future intelligent transportation systems and wireless communication protocols or algorithms designs. To our knowledge, only a few works in this area have been done before since such experiment is usually a huge cost. We took experiments on operative taxis in Beijing, who sent the geographical informations to the console automatically. In this paper, we focus on two of the most important metrics called flight length and pause time distribution in vehicle networks. Through analyzing our own trace datas as well as those collected by Shanghai Jiaotong University, we draw a conclusion that vehicle moving pattern actually shares some resemblances with the previous achievements on Levy-walk nature in human walk. In another word, cars run like human.
