An elegant P-band ground station antenna for Galileosat application has been designed, manufactured, and has undergone acceptance testing as reported in [1]. This paper summarizes the initial antenna design considerations, acceptance testing results and reports on the preliminary results of the in-orbit tests performed using this antenna and the MSG-2 satellite, which has onboard a SAR transponder.
