The cloud has become a new vehicle for delivering resources such as computing and storage to customers on demand. The use of storage feature on cloud is popular in the commercial arena. This paper is an effort to make feasible the idea of using the storage options on cloud down to a level of requesting for the desired amount of storage space, that could be as small as a fraction of the smallest bucket size offered now. This paper is the first to propose the idea of "shared buckets". The traditional way of one user per bucket is upgraded to permitting multi users per bucket. This method comes with a big security concern as the co-owners can breach in to each other's objects stored in the bucket shared. This paper also details in on how the security issue is being handled. The objects in the bucket are private to the owner by default. Being on a shared network, sharing of objects stored improves the usability of it. Locking of objects, another non-existing feature improves consistency in a scenario where multiple writes are witnessed. This paper discusses in detail on the object sharing and locking mechanism.
