We consider a cooperation based cognitive network, in which the cognitive users are allowed to share the same spectrum with the primary user, but for compensation, they have to spend part of their transmission power to forward the information of primary user. Subject to the target rate constraint of primary user, we study the SINR balancing problem for the single-input multi-output multiple access channels in the cooperation based cognitive network. An iterative joint beamforming and power allocation algorithm is proposed to efficiently obtain the optimal balanced SINR level for all the cognitive users. Corroborating numerical examples illustrate the convergence behavior and performance of the proposed algorithm.
