A VSS-NLMS Algorithm Designed for DTMB On-Channel Repeater

摘要

In this paper, we use adaptive filter to realize the echo cancellation strategy in On-Channel Repeater (OCR) based on the National Standard of China for Digital Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcasting (DTMB). In order to solve the conflicting requirement of fast convergence and low misadjustment of the Normalized Least Mean Square (NLMS) algorithm, this paper proposes a Variable Step-Size Normalized Least Mean Square (VSS-NLMS) algorithm. This algorithm does not require any a priori information, so it is easy to control in real world. Simultaneously, the simulation results indicate that this algorithm has a better performance in convergence rate and misadjustment in steady state echo cancellation compared with the conventional LMS algorithm and conventional RLS algorithm.
