In this paper, using LS-DYNA simulation software, two influence factors of projectile (projectile nose shape and projectile body strength) are studied in the process that high velocity projectiles penetrate into concrete targets for the striking velocities between 850m/s and 1550 m/s. The simulation results indicate that the sequence of nose shapes from optimal to worse are the ogive-nose projectile with 3.0 CRH, the ogive-nose projectile with 2.0 CRH, the spherical nose projectile and the flat nose projectile; the projectile impact force is gradually decreasing with the increase of projectile body strength. The simulation results and experimental data are in agreement; the results could provide reference for the design of nose shape and projectile body strength in the process that high velocity projectile penetrate into concrete target.
