A high-speed switch valve based on PWM (pulse width modulation) is proposed. The approach is based on using high-frequency signal to control solenoid, and the spool is effected with the electromagnetic vavle's suction force and spring force. The effective flow area is confirmed when the forces become balance. Therefore, under the condition of meeting rapid response requirement, the flow rate of the valve can be controlled precisely. According to its working process, the mathematical model is set up and simulated, which is used for its dynamic characteristics analysis, such as PWM duty cycle and amplitude, spring force and structural parameters. The results can be used for further experimental study.
