The issue of spatial disparity on regional economic development has remained a pertinacious problem, hindering the coordinated development of Jiangsu economy as a whole and constraining the modernization pace of Jiangsu economy. This paper tries to grasp the characteristics of spatial structure in Jiangsu regional economy from two aspects: the spatial disparity of regional economy in cities and the spatial disparity of regional economy in counties. On the basis of above analysis, it further proposes to build dynamic axes to connect northern and Southern economies in Jiangsu, and to employ the mode of "Tricores and Quad-lines" to optimize the spatial structure of regional economy.
