In order to estimate the feasibility of a kind of basic cloth, which is knitted with curved conductive fibers and used to make the camouflage net, the electromagnetic scattering properties of this structure are numerical analyzed. After setting up its two-dimensional periodic structure model, the periodic finite-difference time-domain algorithm is used to calculate the power reflectivity, transmittivity and absorptivity. Two different sizes of periodic unit are considered separately in order to compare how great the influence of high-order mode on the electromagnetic scattering characteristics. Numerical results show that the high-order mode does can reduce the reflectivity, but its proportion in the whole energy is too small to change the structure's strong reflection. In a word, this kind of basic cloth is not better than the current conventional camouflage net.
