In this paper, the spinning dope of the carbon nanotube(CNT)/polyacrylonitrile(PAN) nanocomposites was prepared using in-situ polymerization method and the CNT/PAN nanocomposite fibers were prepared by wet spinning. The mechanical properties of nanocomposite fibers were characterized and tested by DMTA and tensile tester. The experimental results show that the addition of CNT can greatly improve the mechanical properties of materials. With the increase of CNT content, the initial modulus of nanocomposite fibers increases and the storage modulus also increases at the test temperature range. For 0.53wt% CNT/PAN sample (stretching ratio: 24), the strength reaches to 7.6 cN/dtex.
