In this paper, ZrB2 ceramic nanofibers with diameters of 150…250 nm were successfully prepared by electrospinning followed by calcination at 1550∩. A precursor solution for electrospinning was prepared using ZrClO2·8H2O, boric acid and sucrose as the starting materials, citric acid as the complexing agent, and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as the spinning additives. The as-spun composite nanofibers and ZrB2 ceramic nanofibers were characterized by SEM, TG and XRD, respectively. The preliminary exploration of ZrB2 ceramic fiber was realized in the present study.
