Using explicit dynamic analysis software ANSYS/LSDYNA, the paper implements the numerical simulations of interaction processes between sea ice and cross-sea bridge foundation according to the condition of sea ice in Qing-Dao Gulf. The simulated developments of cracks in ice is consistent with those of full scale experiments and theoretical analysis, as well as ice force and displacement responses of foundation. By analyzing the simulation results, it is found that the displacement responses are not sensitive to the variations of ice velocity. The ice force is approximately linear inverse proportion to the ice velocity.
