Identification of Damage and Damage Parameters in Structures using Daubechies Wavelets with Spectral Element Method

摘要

This work aims at developing an analytical tool for damage detection to reduce maintenance costs. Daubechies wavelets are used in combination with spectral element method in order to study the dynamic response of an undamaged and damaged rod. Studies are conducted for variation of parameters such as damage intensity and size and their identification.
