CUrisk1 is a computer model designed to assess fire-safety measures in light-frame wood buildings. Itwas developed by Carleton University and can, in fact, be used for any type of building as long as informationdefining the fire and related scenarios are available. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the model byanalysing the fire risk in a single-family house with different fire protection system options, and comparing theresults with statistical data.
