INVESTIGATION ON PYROTECHNIC COLD GAS GENERATORS

摘要

A pyrotechnic cold gas generator system was designed and manufactured. The pyrotechnic formulation was characterised according gas yield, gas composition and burning behaviour. The cooling agent basic magnesium carbonate was characterised with respect to decomposition behaviour and pellets of three different diameters were manufactured. The influence of the cooling pellet geometry and the cooling chamber diameter was examined theoretically and experimentally.
