As part of the Dynamic Response of the Environment At the Moon (DREAM) Lunar Science Institute (LSI) nodeeffort, we identified potential vxB events in the SIDE/TID data from the Apollo 14 mission. These possible eventswere then compared to contemporaneous interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) data from the OMNI databaseto determine whether the conditions were correct for SIDE to observe vxB eventsand to establish a quantitative correlation between the SIDE count rates and the orientation of the vxB electric field.We also examined the mass analyzer data during these events to try to establish their composition. This workinvolving TID, MA, OMNI data, and other supporting resources will provide valuable insight into the interactionbetween the solar wind and the lunar surface, including lunar surface potential, an objective of the LSI DREAMteam.
