Y_3AI_5O_(12):Ce~(3+) (YAG:Ce~(3+)) nanophosphor was synthesized by a glycothermal method, where a reaction between aluminum isopropoxide and acetates of yttrium and cerium(lll) was induced in 1,4-butylene glycol in an autoclave. A PMMA matrix transparent thin film dispersed YAG:Ce~(3+) nanophosphor was fabricated on glass substrates by a spin- coating method.
