In this paper, we discuss the external and internal capacitive touch panel and review various conventional internal touch sensors. We propose a novel embedded capacitive touch display with sensing display driver (SDD) IC solution to improve TSP performances. Our novel design is not only integrated touch function and TFT driver into one chip, but also embedded touch panel into display in one set. Compared with external touch display, this novel design is raised up product competition such as lightweight, slimness and cost down.
