摘要

An overview on some recent development in the research on fracture of piezoelectric materials is presented here with the focus on the failure mechanisms of piezoelectric ceramics under mechanical and/or electrical loading and the failure criteria. The overview is given on three aspects: 1) strip polarization saturation model and strip dielectric breakdown model, 2) conductive cracks and charge-free zone model, and 3) phase field simulations.
