This article offers insight into three important yet often misunderstood audio concepts, and how to deal with them effectively. A basic understanding of noise, distortion, and gain will improve your voice recordings for e-learning sessions, podcasts, and presentations. It is relatively easy to optimize your recording environment, your microphone technique, and your recording system's gain structure, to reduce or eliminate noise and distortion in your voice recordings.
