Polymer-Drug Conjugates as platforms for combination therapy in the treatment of hormone-dependent breast cancer

摘要

Novel combination of Doxorubicin (Dox) and Aminoglutethimide (AGM) have been conjugated to poly-L-glutamic acid (PGA). Previous studies had demonstrated that the combination of AGM and Dox in a non biodegradable carrier (HPMA) enhanced Dox cytotoxicity in specific hormone-dependent breast cancer cell models. The same study was carried out in a PGA conjugate using new linker optimization and including the evaluation of new drug combination to improve the treatment of hormone dependent breast cancer.
