Energy saving and emission reduction have an important influence on the sustainable development of pulp and papermaking industry. The paper, based on the view of emission reduction, mainly researched the feasibility of H2O2 bleaching effluent recycling. Furthermore, the paper optimized the technical conditions of single stage H2O2 bleaching of high yield birch pulp. The results showed that H2O2 bleaching effluent recycling had no effect on the brightness when its dosage was 40%, it was feasible to recycle H2O2 bleaching effluent of high yield birch pulp. It could save the consumption of fresh water, and reduce the pollution of the environment. The condign conditions of H2O2 bleaching of high yield birch pulp were followed: dosage of H2O2 4%~6%, Na2SiO3 3.66%~5.16%, MgSO4 0.05%, the concentration of pulp was 15%, the temperature of treatment was 80 °C and the time was 120 min. Under the conditions, the brightness of high yield birch pulp could be improved from 48.9% to 71.61% ~ 73.92%. PostColor(PC) number of high yield birch pulp had a slight increase.
