we must calculate first the coordinate transformation parameters between WGS-84 coordinates system and the national or local coordinates system when we measure with GPS RTK. In order to have better results, a new idea will be put forward about the four-parameter transformation of the small regional area, and its validity is validated in this paper. At the same time, through comparing with the current method, we find that the parameters precision of the new method is slightly better that that of the current method in the same conditions. Finally, according to the new method, we discuss the effect of the common point error on the accuracy of coordinate transformation parameters when we use GPS RTK, and find to have a simple calculation process, a better result, a change at regular on between the common point error and the parameters precision. All this have an instructive role of operating conveniently GPS RTK.
