The R&D team is the ideal form for organizations to create knowledge. The team's ability of knowledge transferring determines the results of knowledge creation to a great extent. Social cognition or social capital theory has often been used to explain the internal knowledge transfer performance of R&D teams. This paper analyzes the relation between the two theoretical tools through the integration of the two tools. It puts forward a new theoretical framework that has an impact on the R&D team of internal knowledge transfer performance.
